Informatics for Healthcare Systems is a 30 credit Masters level course hosted at the University of Manchester that discusses main informatics areas in the context of the patient pathway.  Originally commissioned by the Informatics Skills Development Network, this programme has now run for four years, attracting senior NHS informatics professionals, clinicians, biopharma scientists and academic researchers.

The course has not only trained over 50 professionals, but has created a informatics leaders community of practice that is supported by the University of Manchester and local NHS networks.  Alongside the course, an industry mentoring scheme has been established that provides a industrial view on the field and supports participants with their career aspirations.
