What is CityMoves?
CityMoves is an eight week challenge that is open to anyone living in the North of England. Delivered as a partnership between Connected Health Cities and Nokia the project aims to increase activity levels and adopt healthier habits. A CityMoves app will track user’s steps and allow participants to measure their heart rate. Participants will be prompted to measure their heart rate and key times and will receive weekly emails detailing their progress and that of their region. There are a number of prizes to be won.
Data generated by CityMoves will be anonymously analysed by researchers to understand more about the impact of lifestyle changes on heart health. The project itself will also be used to raise awareness of Connected Health Cities and the work the programme delivers. We are aiming for 15,000 people to participate across the North of England.
